Unusable internet for our entire stay (10 seconds to load a google search) - told multiple times, it was due to the time of day. On the third day of trying to find a solution, I was even interrupted by rude staff member at the front desk to again tell me that it was just because of the time of day. Eventually had to involve the general manager who reported back that they were in fact having problems. After they attempted to fix the issue the connection is still not usable in the room. No outlets anywhere near the bed. No room service. Housekeeping does not clean the room floors are dirty and carpets are embedded with strangers hair. Poor housekeeper does not even know how to change out the empty hand soap dispenser. No coffee machine or kettle in the room. Pillows are almost non existent with no other options - had to go and purchase one just for the stay?!? The toilet acoustics are incredible. You will hear EVERYTHING from your partner even with the door closed. 4 star hotel??? Positive notes - location is great. Spa is fantastic. Easy access parking (€15/day) cafe on site (although no breakfast tea?) and most of the staff are very pleasant.

Hotel Aspria Ku’damm Berlin really a hotel? Although I may be critical in this review, I must stress that the staff was very friendly. For business I was staying at Aspria Ku’damm Berlin for 12 nights and I really started to wonder if the Aspria is really a hotel. I’ve come to the conclusion it’s just a side-business for the SPA Aspria. This conclusion was basically confirmed by the friendly receptionist. I could have known as when I tried the Aspria website all is about the SPA and you really have to be Sherlock Holmes to find the correct link to the reservation page for the hotel. I was persistent as I knew my colleagues from the customer were staying there… First of all, the location. Although the street of the hotel is not really appealing, it’s reasonably quiet and only a few hundred meters from the Kurfürstendamm, where there are plenty of restaurants, supermarket and other stores (the Greek restaurant Ach! Niko ? Ach is very recommendable). Also the S-Bahn Charlottenburg is only about 7 minutes walk away. The hotel has a parking garage, so for a visit to Berlin a fine location. My arrival at the hotel was a real Benny Hill experience. The only thing missing was the Benny Hill tune… I was given room 111 and when I came first to this room the keycard didn’t work. So, a little frustrated I went back to reception. The receptionist reactivated the card and kindly joined me upstairs to the room and the key did work. The room was definitely spacious, but also had a big concrete support beam in the room and a TV fixed to the ceiling in a convenient manner. However the bed was making lots of noises with the slightest movement… The first morning I went to breakfast, which was very simple. For 14 euro’s you can choose from kinds of bread and croissants, 2 kinds of blandly tasting cheese, Nutella, jelly, (boiled and baked) eggs and some yoghurt. Plenty of choices for coffee, tea and hot chocolate, but the taste of the coffee can’t be called great. When I mentioned my room number at the breakfast staff, it wasn’t on the list. Well, according to the list I was in another room: 112. They’d check with reception. When I came back later I had to ask, but was told that everything was in order. The list was correct… Well, lets check with reception… First I complained about the noisy bed in my room 111. Then checked why breakfast thinks I am in 112. “But you are in 112” was the answer. We have guests arriving in 111 today. NO, I slept in 111, my stuff is in 111, so how can I be in 112 then? So I proposed they’d give me the key for 112 so I could move my stuff from 111 to 112 (this also solved my noisy bed issue) and that proposal was appreciated. They gave me the keycard for 112, but at room 112 the keycard didn’t work… Grrrr. Back to friendly receptionist to get it solved. In room 112 the bed was fine. Basically the room looked fine, although the long pile carpet was not exactly cleaned well. I guess they’d never vacuum here. Also cleaning the bed. I was here for 12 nights and the only thing they did was shaking up the pillow and folding the blanket, but never cleaned the bed, nor vacuum the room during my stay. I know this because of the visible loose fibers on the carpet that a vacuum cleaner definitely would have cleared. A little stain in the bed that was there the first day has been there during my entire stay. Cleaning your room is not a priority in this hotel. Also the bed is a bit strange. The bed header is not straight so there is a big gap between the comfortable matrass and the header. The small pillow fills the gap entirely. If you, like me always push your pillow to the header when you sleep, it’s a bit uncomfortable. Next, the shower… The door to the toilet/shower closes the shower nicely, keeping the toilet and the show separated. Clever… So I thought… But the gap, which is the result at the hinge side is huge, so the water splashes and gushes through that side. One big plus is the shower head itself. Never had such nice powerful and comfortable shower before in a hotel. That’s a keeper for sure. One last thing why I question the “hotel” is the fact that there is no bar in the restaurant that you can go to after 8 pm. Having some coffee or other drink after 8 pm, maybe reading a book in a comfortable chair would be something I’d expect from a **** hotel. The wellness part is done nicely and looks fine, but I didn’t use it. Wellness clearly has first priority, not to say the only priority.

Hotel was nice, rooms are quirky and cool. However our TV never worked they didnt try and replace it. The aircon didn't really work so we had to open the windows to cool down but it was very noisy because of this. Just spoiled the stay a little.

The “ Aspria” has been successfully developing into an attractive hub for the international community in Berlin. The older generation of Charlottenburg frowns more and more of the influx of customers being affiliated with the shadow economy( and many of them left therefore the club). The Club offers a well functioning hotel facility with a lot of amenities( wellness treatments e.g.).Attractive sports courses offered— in different disciplines).,various spaces for work- outs, sauna area, relaxation areas and a phantastic and on sunny days overcrowded terrace on the top floor. A restaurant in the basement and a cafeteria on the top floor offer food and drinks. For economic reasons tge cafeteria unfortunately reduced its opening hours. . In comparison with Hamburg and Hannover the Berlin Aspria should undertake more efforts to improve its performance and its image. The personnel at the reception gives sometimes the impression not to be handle adequately the influx of people( check- in/ out for the hotel- guests and to cope with the numerous questions of impatient “ high- end”- members simultaneously). As a long- term member of Aspria I — and a lot of acquaintances—are convinced that there is a lot of room for improvement— to proclaim to run an elite club— that’ s a pretentious slogan— particularly if it does not correspond to realit—) and the hiring of adequately paid personnel: a precondition for saveguarding a certain quality standard.

Aspria Berlin Ku'damm ist located in Charlottenburg close to the Ku_damm. S--bahn station Charlottenburg is approx 10 min walking distance. While entering the lobby you immediately realize that you are in a spa/welleess center. The hotel is just a part of the huge wellness center featuring a swimnming pool, fitness facilities, lots of training soffers, a spa, a restaurand and some conference rooms. It's a bit disturbing that yoiu acccess the hotel wing through the spa area. Hotel rooms are super stylish and large and comparably quiet. Comfortable beds. Small breakfast offering but ok if you don't expect something special. Good choice if the location which is a bit remote is fine with you.
